Homemade Rawa Crispy Masala Bites Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup rawa or sooji or semolina
water for kneading
salt as per taste
oil for frying
1 tsp chaat masala
1 tsp kashmiri chili powder
Method:
Grind the rawa along with salt into a fine powder and keep it aside.
Take the rawa powder in a bowl and make a soft dough by adding water as required. Cover and allow it to rest for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes the dough will get stiff as rawa absorbs the water. Knead it again to form a smooth dough. Make 2 equal size balls of the dough and roll each into a thin shape chapati.
Cut the rolled chapati into diamond shape.
Heat oil in a heavy based vessel or kadai and slowly put the diamond shape bites one by one so that they do not stick to each other. If it sticks to one another quickly separate it with the back of the frying spoon. The bites have to be fried on high flame till golden brown. If the oil gets too hot you can make the flame on low or switch off the gas for a minute or two and then switch it on.
In a vessel mix the chaat masala and chili powder add the fried bites into it. Mix well so that all the bites gets well coated with the masala.
Store it in an airtight container and enjoy it with your tea or coffee.
