Homemade Mooli Ka Paratha Recipe

Course : Main/ Breakfast

Cuisine: Indian

Servings: 7-8 nos

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time : 25 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients For Stuffing :

  • 2 big grated mooli / radish

  • 1/2 tbsp chopped ginger

  • 3-4 finely chopped green chillies

  • 2-3 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves

  • 1 tsp chilli powder

  • 1.5 tsp coriander powder

  • 1 tsp jeera/ cumin powder

  • salt as per taste

Ingredients For Dough:

  • 2 cups multigrain/wheat flour

  • salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Peel, wash and grate the mooli. Keep it aside for 5 minutes. Then squeeze out all the water from it.

  2. In a bowl add the grated mooli , chopped ginger, green chillies, coriander leaves and all the dry spices. Mix and keep aside. Add the salt to the mooli mixture only when you want to prepare the parathas otherwise it will leave out water and the mixture will become watery.

  3. In a bowl mix the flour and salt then by adding little by little water make a very smooth and soft dough.

  4. Make equal size balls of the dough and keep aside.

  5. Take a dough ball and roll into a small disc. Place some mooli mixture on it and then bring all the edges together to make a round ball. Dust some flour/atta on it and roll into medium thickness round paratha.

  6. Heat a tawa, grease it with some oil then place the rolled paratha on it. Cook then flip and sprinkle some oil all over then flip again and sprinkle some oil over it. Cook on both sides till brown spots are seen all over. Remove and keep aside.

  7. Repeat the process till all the dough and mixture is used up.

  8. Serve this yummy paratha with some curds and pickle
