Homemade Corn Cheese Paratha Recipe

Course : Main/ Breakfast

Cuisine: Indian

Servings: 8 -9 nos

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time : 30 minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients For Stuffing :

  • 400 gms sweet corn tin/ fresh sweet corn

  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

  • 1 tbsp ghee/ butter

  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic

  • 5-6 finely chopped green chillies

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves

  • 1 big finely chopped onion

  • 2 tsp pepper powder

  • 1 tbsp chilli flakes

  • salt as per taste

Ingredients For Dough:

  • 3.5 cups multigrain/wheat flour

  • salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Open the corn tin and pour in a sieve. Wash under running water and allow all the water to drain out completely .

  2. In a chopper or grinder jar grind the sweet corn till roughly coarse.

  3. Heat the ghee/ butter in a pan then saute the garlic and green chillies. To it add the chopped onion and cook on low flame till soft and translucent.

  4. Add the corn, salt , chilli flakes and pepper. Cook on low flame for about 5 minutes or till the mixture is dry.

  5. Remove in a bowl and allow it to cool. Then add the grated mozzarella cheese and mix well. Keep the stuffing aside for future use.

  6. In a bowl mix the flour and salt then by adding little by little water make a very smooth and soft dough.

  7. Make equal size balls of the dough and keep aside.

  8. Take a dough ball and roll into a small disc. Place some corn mixture on it and then bring all the edges together to make a round ball. Dust some flour/atta on it and roll into medium thickness round paratha.

  9. Heat a tawa, grease with some oil then place the rolled paratha on it. Cook then flip and sprinkle some oil all over then flip again and sprinkle some oil over it. Cook on both sides till brown spots are seen all over. Remove and keep aside.

  10. Repeat the process till all the dough and mixture is used up.

  11. Serve with some curds.
