Homemade Shrikhand Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg curds (yogurt)

  • 1 and 1/2 cup sugar

  • 4-5 saffron strands soaked in 1 tsp warm water

  • 1 tsp cardamom powder

For Garnishing:

  • chironji ( charoli)

  • almonds & pista finely sliced

Method:

  1. Hang the curds in a muslin cloth overnight or for 3-4 hours till all the water comes out.

  2. In a bowl add the curds, sugar, saffron water and cardamom together. With the help of a whisk or spoon keep mixing the curds in one direction only till all the sugar melts and a smooth paste is formed . It will take around 10-15 minutes.

  3. Remove in a serving dish.

  4. Garnish with nuts and chironji.

  5. Keep it in the fridge for a few hours.

Enjoy this yummy shrikhand with Undhia, and Puris.
