Homemade Kunafa Recipe
Ingredients:
250 gms kunafa
250 gms mozzarella cheese or cream cheese
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp orange colour powder
some chopped pistachio
For Syrup:
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
Method:
Cut the kunafa into small pieces then pour the melted butter on it and mix well.
Grate the mozzarella cheese.
In a pan mix the sugar and water. Boil for 5-10 minutes on low flame till the sugar dissolves in the water. Keep aside.
Grease a baking tray with butter and orange food colour. Place the kunafa dough on it and layer it with mozzarella cheese or cream cheese.
In a pre heated oven bake it at 180 C for 10-15 minutes till the cheese melts.
Remove from the oven and allow it to cool .Turn it upside down and pour the sugar syrup all over it. Garnish it with chopped pistachio .
