Homemade Besan Sev Recipe

Ingredients:
250 gms or 2 cups besan/ gram flour
1/4 tsp hing/ asefodita
1/2 tsp ajwain/ carrom seeds
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1/2 tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder
salt as per taste
2 tbsp oil
oil for deep frying
Method:
In a bowl add the besan, hing, ajwain,pepper powder, chilli powder and oil . Give it a good mix then add water little by little to make a soft dough. The dough does not have to be kneaded much. Apply some water on the top then cover and keep it to rest for 10 minutes.
Heat some oil in a kadai or heavy based vessel.
Take a sev making machine , grease it then take some besan dough make a log and place it in the machine. Close the machine and when the oil is hot break the sev in the oil. Fry it on high flame only till golden brown on both sides. Remove and keep aside.
Similarly repeat till all the dough is used up.
When cooled keep it in an airtight container.
Enjoy this yummy and crispy sev for your evening snack or on the festival of Diwali.
