Homemade Besan Papdi Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups besan or gram flour
1/2 tbsp red chili powder
1/2 tbsp whole pepper coarsely grinded
1 tsp jeera (cumin) seeds
salt to taste
1/4 tsp soda bicarbonate
2 tbsp oil
oil for frying
Method:
In a bowl mix all the above ingredients well and add enough water to make a very soft dough.
Keep it to rest for 10-20 minutes.
Put some oil on your hands and make equal size balls out of the dough.
Fill the dough balls in the papdi making machine till the top.
Heat oil in a kadai and drop the papdi in it. Fry it on medium flame till it is golden brown in colour.
Repeat the process till all the dough is used .
Store it in an airtight container for upto 2-3 weeks .
Enjoy it with your tea/ coffee or serve it to your guest, they will love it.
