Homemade Papdi Sabzi Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500 gms papdi

  • 2-3 pinch asafoetida

  • 1 tsp mustard seeds

  • 6-8 whole red chilli

  • 1/2 cup peanuts without skin

  • 1 tbsp amchur (mango powder)

  • 1/2 tbsp jaggery

  • 1 string curry leaves

  • salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Remove the strings from both the sides of the papdi and break them into two or three pieces. Wash and allow it to dry.

  2. Heat oil in a pan add asafoetida and mustard seeds when it splutters add the papdi and saute for a minute then add the salt.

  3. Cover and cook on low flame.

  4. In a grinder add the peanuts and chillies and grind it coarsely. Keep aside.

  5. Make a paste of jaggery and amchur by adding a little water .

  6. Once the papdi is almost cooked add the peanut masala and jaggery paste.

  7. Cook till the papdi is soft and completely dry .

    Serve this tasty sabzi with chapatis or parathas.
