Homemade Wheat Flour Chakli Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cups wheat flour
1/4 tsp asefodita
1 tsp jeera ( cumin seeds)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tbsp chilli powder
1 tbsp white til ( seasame seeds)
salt as per taste
oil for frying
Method :
Wrap the wheat atta in a clean cotton cloth and keep it in a steamer to steam for 15 minutes on medium flame.
Remove the cloth from the steamer and sieve the atta by breaking the lumps which are formed with the help of the back of the spoon.
Take a bowl mix the sieved atta and all the spices together then slowly add water and prepare a medium hard dough.
Allow it to rest for 15 minutes. Once again knead the dough to make it smooth . Then make long logs of the dough and keep aside for future use.
Take a chakli machine and grease it with some oil. Place 1-2 logs of the chakli dough in the machine. With the help of the machine make chaklis on a greased surface like the back of a plate or a clean platform.
In a kadai heat some oil and when the oil is medium hot put the chakli in the oil with the help of a flat spoon.
Fry the chaklis in small batches on medium to low flame till crispy and brown on both sides.
Remove on a kitchen towel and when cooled store in an airtight container.
Enjoy these yummy and crispy chaklis with your evening tea or during festivals like Diwali and Holi.
