Homemade Raw Papaya Curry Recipe

Ingredients:
1 medium raw papaya -about 500 gms
2 medium onion
2 medium tomato
2 tbsp cashewnuts
1/2 inch ginger
1-2 nos green chillies
1 tsp jeera/ cumin seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1.5 tsp chilli powder
1.5 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp jeera/cuminpowder
1 tsp garam masala
2 tsp dried fenugreek leaves/kasuri methi
salt as per taste
some chopped coriander leaves
Method:
Peel ,wash and chop the papaya into small square pieces.
In a pan heat 1 tbsp oil then add the chopped papaya and cook on medium to low flame till soft. Remove and keep aside on a plate.
Chop the onion, tomatoes, ginger, cashewnuts and green chillies into big pieces. Add it into a grinder jar and make it into a fine paste.
Heat 1 tbsp oil then add the jeera when it splutters add the onion tomato paste and cook till drops of oil is seen on the sides or top of the masala.
Add all the dry spices and salt to the masala and cook again with one cup water . Then add the cooked papaya to it. Cover and cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes.
Remove from flame and pour it into a serving dish. Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.
Enjoy this yummy curry with rice, chapati or paratha.
