Homemade Shengdana Chutney Recipe

Ingredients:
1/2 cup shengdana/peanuts without skin
1 small onion sliced
4-5 green chillies
2 garlic pods
1 small tamarind ball
salt as per taste
1/2 tbsp oil
For Tadka:
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 whole red chilli
6-7 curry leaves
1/2 tbsp oil
Method:
Heat the oil in a pan and saute the sliced onion till slightly pinkish in colour.Then add the shengdana and cook for a minute or till slightly brown.
Remove in a plate and allow it to cool.
In a grinder jar add the onion, shengdana, green chillies, garlic, salt and tamarind.
Grind into a fine paste by adding some water.
Remove in a serving bowl.
Heat oil in a small pan add the mustard seeds when it splutters add the red chill and curry leaves.Switch off the gas. Pour the tadka on the chutney.
Serve this tasty chutney with dosa, idli and kanchipuram style bajra idli.
