Homemade Cabbage and Onion Fritters Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 250 gms cabbage

  • 3 big onions

  • 1 cup besan (chickpea/gram flour )

  • 3-4 chopped green chillies

  • 1 tsp chopped ginger

  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tbsp chilli powder

  • 1/2 tsp jeera (cumin ) powder

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • 1 tsp ajwain (carom seeds )

  • salt as per taste

  • oil for frying

Chhayas food cabbage and onion fritters - ingredients

Method:

  1. Clean, wash and chop the cabbage and onions into thin long pieces.

  2. Mix well all the above remaining ingredients to the chopped cabbage and onions.Then add a little water only if required to bind them together.

  3. In a kadai heat some oil for deep frying. Drop small balls of the batter in the oil and deep fry the fritters on medium flame till golden brown .

  4. Repeat the process till all the fritters are done.

Serve this yummy hot cabbage and onion fritters with green chutney and ketchup.
