Homemade Veg Fried Rice Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup rice
100 gms french beans
100 gms carrots
200 gms coloured capsicums (peppers)
1 onions
few spring onions chopped
1 stick celery (optional)
salt as per taste
1/2 tsp white pepper
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp dark soya sauce ( optional)
1 tsp white vinegar ( optional)
Method
Cut all the above vegetables very finely into small cubes.
Clean, wash and soak the rice for half and hour. Boil some water in a vessel with 1 tsp salt add the rice and cook till 90% cooked.
Take a heavy based pan heat 4 tbsp oil then add all the vegetables excluding the capsicums, celery and spring onions .
Cook on high flame for 3-4 minutes till the vegetables are soft but crunchy. Then add the capsicums and celery. Cook for another 1-2 minutes on high flame.
Add the salt, white pepper, black pepper, soya and vinegar and mix well then add the boiled rice and give it a good toss.
Remove in a serving dish and garnish with spring onions.
Serve with Veg Hakka Noodles and Veg Manchurian.
