Homemade Tawa Paneer Burger Recipe

Homemade Tawa Paneer Burger Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500 gms paneer small cubes (fresh/ frozen)

  • 2 big onions chopped finely

  • 2 big tomatoes chopped finely

  • 1 big green capsicum chopped finely

  • 1 tbsp garlic chopped finely

  • 1 -2 green chillies chopped finely

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tbsp chilli powder

  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • salt as per taste

  • 3 tbsp ketchup

  • 6 tbsp schezwan sauce

  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese ( optional)

  • some chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

  • 2 tbsp oil + 2 tbsp butter

Ingredients For Plating:

  • 12 burger buns

  • 5 tbsp butter

  • 1 -2 tbsp chilli powder

  • 3-4 tbsp Schezwan sauce

  • 3-4 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

Method:

  1. In a pan heat oil and butter. Sauté the garlic then add the onions and cook till soft and translucent. Add the tomatoes and green chillies . Cover and cook again on low flame stirring continuously till it is soft and mushy.

  2. Add the turmeric, chilli powder, salt, both the sauces and capsicum. Cook for about 5 minutes. Then add the paneer cubes and garam masala mix well and cook for few seconds. Lastly mix the cheese and switch off the gas. Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.

  3. Cut all the burger buns from one side keeping the other end intact. With a spoon place some paneer in each bun.

  4. Heat a tawa put a big drop of butter ,sprinkle some chilli powder. chopped coriander leaves and a dash of schezwan sauce mix and place a burger on it . Toast it on all sides so the bun is covered with the masala.

  5. Remove on a plate and repeat the process till all the buns are ready.
