Homemade Sabudana Sandwich Recipe

Homemade Sabudana Sandwich Recipe

Course : Breakfast /Snack

Cuisine: Indian

Servings: 2 pax

Soaking Time: 3-4 hours

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time : 5 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients for Covering:

  • 1/2 cup sabudana/sago

  • 1 boiled potato

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp pepper powder

  • 1 no chopped green chilli

  • 1/2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

Ingredients for Filling/Stuffing

  • 1/2 cup paneer cut into small cubes

  • 1 no chopped green chill

  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

  • 1/4 tsp pepper powder

  • salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Clean, wash and soak the sabudana in 1/2 cup water in a plate for 3-4 hours.

  2. Boil, peel and grate the potato. Keep aside for future use.

  3. After the soaking time each sabudana grain will be separate. Add the salt, pepper, chopped green chilli and coriander leaves in it and mix well then add the grated potato in it and make a soft dough with it.

  4. In a bowl add all the ingredients for the filling and mix well.

  5. Take a hand toaster grease it with one drop of ghee. Take some sabudana and spread it evenly on one side of the toaster. Similarly do it on the other side of the toaster also. Place some filling on one side in the center of the sabudana. Close the toaster and place it on the gas. Cook on medium to high flame on both sides till brown and crispy.

  6. Remove in a plate,

Enjoy this yummy sandwich with ketchup or chutney. It can also be eaten during fasting or vrat.
