Homemade Drumstick Kadhi Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup curds ( yogurt)
2 tbsp besan ( gram flour)
2 drumsticks
1-2 green chilies chopped finely
1 tsp ginger chopped finely
1/4 tsp hing ( asefodita)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp jeera ( cumin seeds)
1 tsp rai (mustard seeds)
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp garam masala
some chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
salt as per taste
Method:
Peel, string , wash and chop the drumsticks into 2-3 inches pieces.
In a pan boil some water with a little salt then add the chopped drumsticks and cook on medium flame till it is soft. Drain the extra water and keep aside for future use.
In a bowl whisk the curds with besan ,all the dry spices, salt and 3 cups water. Keep aside.
Take a kadai heat 1 tbsp oil then add the mustard seeds when it splutters add the jeera, hing and turmeric powder. Add 2 tbsp of water then add the curds mixture , chopped green chillies and ginger. Cook on low flame stirring continuously for 5 minutes then add the cooked drumsticks. Cook again till drops of oil are seen on the top or for 10 minutes till the mixture thickens.
Remove in a serving dish and garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.
Enjoy this yummy kadhi with rice.
