Homemade Cluster Beans ( Gawar) Aloo Sabzi Recipe
Ingredients:
500 gms cluster beans (Gawar) chopped into small cubes
2 potatoes chopped into small cubes
2 big onions chopped finely
1 green chilli chopped finely
1/2 tbsp ginger chopped finely
2-3 pinch asafoetida
1 tsp ajwain (carom seeds)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1- 2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala
1/2 tbsp amchur (mango powder )
salt as per taste
coriander leaves for garnishing
Method:
Heat oil in a pan add asafoetida, ajwain , turmeric powder, green chilli and ginger , saute for a second.
Then add the chopped onions and cook till it is soft.
Add the chopped potatoes. Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Add all the dry spices leaving out the garam masala and amchur powder. Saute the masala for a minute on low flame.
Add the chopped cluster beans to the masala.
Cover and cook on low flame stirring at short intervals.
When soft add garam masala, and amchur powder .
Cook till completely dry .
Remove in a serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves .
Serve with chapatis or parathas.
