Aloo Ka Halwa Recipe
Ingredients:
6 small potatoes
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup ghee
1 tsp cardamom powder
1/2 tsp saffron powder or 5-6 saffron strands soaked in 1 tsp warm milk
2-3 tbsp chopped nuts ( almonds and pistachio)
Method:
Boil, peel and mash or grate the potatoes. Keep aside.
Take a non stick pan, heat the ghee. Add the mashed potatoes and fry on low flame stirring continuously till slightly brown in colour and it forms a lump.
Add the sugar in it and again cook till all the sugar melts. Then add the cardamom and saffron powder .Cook till the mixture is dry and ghee is seen on the sides of the pan.
Remove from flame and place in a serving dish. Garnish with chopped nuts.
Enjoy this yummy halwa during vrat or festivals.
