Homemade Yam Fry Recipe
Ingredients:
500 gms yam ( suran)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tbsp chilli powder
1/2 tbsp corainder powder
1 tbsp amchur powder ( mango powder)
2 tbsp rice flour
salt as per taste
some chopped corainder leaves for garnishing
Method:
Peel, wash and chop the yam into medium thickness triangular pieces.
In a pan heat some water add 1 tsp salt and few drops of lemon so that the yam does not turn black and cook till it is semi cooked. Drain and keep aside.
In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients and add 1- 2 tbsp water to make a thick paste.
Add the yam in the masala paste and slowly coat each yam piece with the masala.
In a non stick pan heat 2-3 tbsp oil and then place the yam pieces one by one in the pan and cook on low flame till each yam turns golden brown on both sides.
Remove in a serving plate and garnish with some chopped corainder leaves,
Enjoy this yummy Yam Fry as a side dish with rice or chapati.
