Homemade Chivda Recipe
Ingredients:
250 gms cornflakes chivda
1/2 cup peanuts with or without skin
1/2 cup split roasted bengal gram (roasted chana dal )
1/4 cup cashewnuts
1/4 cup raisins
9-10 curry leaves
1-2 green chillies cut into big pieces
2 dried whole red chilli
1/2 tbsp chaat masala
1/ 2 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder
1 tbsp sugar
salt as per taste
oil for frying
Method:
Heat 5 tbsp oil and deep fry on medium flame the cashewnuts, peanuts, raisins, green chillies and curry leaves one by one. Remove and keep it on a kitchen tissue paper.
Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the Chivda in small batches on medium flame Remove on a kitchen tissue paper and keep for future use.
In a bowl add all the fried ingredients along with roasted bengal gram , salt, sugar, red chilli powder and chaat masala, mix well.
Store in an airtight container.
