Homemade Aloo Chilla Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 6 small aloo (potatoes)

  • 2 onions chopped finely

  • 1 big green capsicum chopped finely

  • 3-4 green chillies chopped finely

  • some coriander leaves chopped finely

  • 1 tsp jeera ( cumin seeds )

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp chilli powder

  • 1/2 tbsp chaat masala

  • 2 tbsp ragi flour

  • 4 tbsp sattu flour or besan

  • 2 tbsp white til (sesame )

  • salt as per taste

  • oil for cooking

Method:

  1. Peel, wash and grate all the potatoes. Soak in water for 5-10 minutes to remove all the starch from the aloo and then wash 2 to 3 times again in water. Squeeze the water properly from the grated aloo and keep aside.

  2. In a bowl take the grated aloo and add all the above ingredients and mix well.

  3. Heat a non stick tawa and place a ladle of the batter on it and with the help of your palms spread the batter into a small round pancake. Sprinkle some oil all over it . Cover and cook on low flame till brown. Flip and cook on the other side also till brown.

  4. Remove on a plate and repeat the process till all the batter is used.

Enjoy this tasty aloo chilla with green chutney.
