Homemade Veg Sizzlers Recipe

Ingredients

For 1-2 persons

  • 100 gms carrots (semi boiled)

  • 100 gms french beans

  • 100 gms broccoli ( semi boiled)

  • 100 gms mushroom

  • 50 gms baby corn

  • 100 gms colourful capsicum (peppers )

  • 1 cup palak leaves blanched

  • 1/2 cup rice boiled

  • 1/2 cup spaghetti boiled

  • 100 gms paneer

  • 12-15 potatoes wedges fried

  • salt as per taste

  • 1 tsp pepper powder

  • 3 tbsp garlic finely chopped

  • 4-5 tbsp butter

  • 3-4 asparagus (optional)

  • cabbage leaves to put on the base of the sizzlers

  • grated mozzarella cheese

Method:

  1. Cut all the above vegetables into long and half inch thick pieces. Mushroom can be cut into halves. Brocolli into big florets.

  2. Take a heavy based pan heat 2 tbsp butter saute 1tbsp garlic for a second. Then add the carrots, french beans, baby corn, and broccoli. Add salt and pepper as per taste. Cook for 5 minutes till all the vegetables are soft but crunchy. Then add paneer and saute for 1 more miniute.

  3. In a separate pan take a little butter and saute the palak till all the water evaporates and it is dry.

  4. Similarly saute the mushrooms in butter and garlic but do not cook for long as it will give out water and will become limp.

  5. Saute the colouful peppers also in butter and garlic for just 2-3 minutes so that it remains crunchy.

  6. Saute the asparagus also in butter till soft.

  7. Deep fry the wedges.

  8. Boil the rice and spaghetti.

 

Ginger and Garlic Pepper Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp ginger finely chopped

  • 2 tbsp garlic finely chopped

  • 2 tbsp dark soya

  • 1 tsp white vinegar

  • 1/2 tbsp each ketchup, chilli sauce and schezwan sauce

  • salt as per taste

  • 1-2 tbsp roughly grounded pepper

  • 2-3 tbsp cornflour paste

Method:

  1. Take a pan heat oil saute the ginger and garlic then add all the sauces, soya sauce , vinegar, salt and pepper. To it add 4 cups water and allow it to boil. Then add the corn flour paste and cook on low flame stirring continuously till the sauce thickens slightly .Remove from flame.

    Note: The above ingredients for sauce can be increased as per your taste. If the sauce colour is not dark a little soya can be added.

Final Step for Sizzler Plating

  1. Heat the sizzler plate on the gas till it is very hot. Switch off the gas put 1 tbsp of butter then place a cabbage leave on it and place all the above sautéed vegetables, rice, spaghetti, and wedges. Again put on high flame and pour the ginger garlic sauce over it . Sprinkle some mozzarella cheese .

    Serve this yummy and delicious Sizzling Sizzlers with ice tea.
