Homemade Veg Fried Rice Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice

  • 100 gms french beans

  • 100 gms carrots

  • 200 gms coloured capsicums (peppers)

  • 1 onions

  • few spring onions chopped

  • 1 stick celery (optional)

  • salt as per taste

  • 1/2 tsp white pepper

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp dark soya sauce ( optional)

  • 1 tsp white vinegar ( optional)

Method

  1. Cut all the above vegetables very finely into small cubes.

  2. Clean, wash and soak the rice for half and hour. Boil some water in a vessel with 1 tsp salt add the rice and cook till 90% cooked.

  3. Take a heavy based pan heat 4 tbsp oil then add all the vegetables excluding the capsicums, celery and spring onions .

  4. Cook on high flame for 3-4 minutes till the vegetables are soft but crunchy. Then add the capsicums and celery. Cook for another 1-2 minutes on high flame.

  5. Add the salt, white pepper, black pepper, soya and vinegar and mix well then add the boiled rice and give it a good toss.

  6. Remove in a serving dish and garnish with spring onions.

  7. Serve with Veg Hakka Noodles and Veg Manchurian.
