Homemade Turmeric, Ginger and Chilli Pickle Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 100 gms fresh haldi/turmeric

  • 25 gms ginger

  • 8-9 green chilies

  • 2 nos lemons juice

  • 1/4 cup sesame oil

  • 1/4 tsp asefodita

  • 1 tsp roughly ground black pepper

  • 1 tbsp roughly ground sauf/fennel seeds

  • 1 tsp kalonji /onion seeds

  • 1/2 tbsp ground mustard seeds

  • salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Peel, wash and dry the haldi and ginger completely. Similarly wash the green chillies , remove the top and dry them completely.

  2. Chop the haldi and ginger into long medium thickness julienne . Slit the green chillies in the center.

  3. Heat the oil and allow it to cool.

  4. Take a glass bowl add all the dry spices and salt. Add all the oil and mix well then add the cut haldi, ginger and chillies in it and give it a good mix.

  5. Cover and keep it out for 2 days mixing it one to two times in a day.

  6. Take a dry glass bottle and transfer the pickle in it. Keep it in the refrigerator.

Enjoy this healthy pickle with your meals.

Note: The quantity of haldi, ginger and chillies can be adjusted accordingly.
