Homemade Tofu Bhurji Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500 gms tofu

  • 3 medium size chopped onions

  • 1 small chopped green capsicum/pepper

  • 1 chopped green chilli

  • 1 tsp chopped ginger

  • 1/2 tbsp chopped garlic

  • 1 tsp jeera /cumin seeds

  • 1 tsp turmeric

  • 1/2 tbsp chilli powder

  • 1/2 tbsp garam masala

  • 1.5 tsp coriander powder

  • 1 tsp jeera powder/cumin powder

  • salt as per taste

  • some chopped coriander leaves

Method:

  1. Scramble /Crumble the tofu with hands and keep aside for future use.

  2. Heat 4 tbsp oil in a kadai add the jeera when it splutters saute the garlic and ginger for a second then add the chopped onions and cook on low flame stirring occasionally till translucent.

  3. Add the chopped capsicum and again cook for 2-3 minutes. To it add all the dry spices and salt.

  4. Add the crumbled tofu to the onion masala and cook on low flame for another 5 minutes.

  5. Remove in a serving dish and garnish with some coriander leaves.

Enjoy this healthy tofu bhurji with chapati or paratha.
