Homemade Tinda Masala Sabzi Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg tinda

  • 1 tbsp chopped ginger

  • 1-2 chopped green chillies

  • 1 tsp mustard seeds

  • 1 tsp jeera (cumin) seeds

  • 1 tsp fenugreek seeds

  • 1 tsp nigella seeds (Kalonji)

  • 2 tbsp fennel ( sauf) seeds roughy grinded

  • 1/4 tsp asefodita

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tbsp chilli powder

  • 1/2 tbsp coriander powder

  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • 1 tsp jeera (cumin) powder

  • salt as per taste

  • some chopped coriander leaves

Method:

  1. Peel, wash and chop the tinda into big cubes. Remove the seeds if they are big. Keep aside.

  2. In a pan heat 3-4 tbsp oil then add the asefodita and mustard seeds when it splutters add the jeera, methi, kalonji and sauf. . To it add the turmeric, green chilli , ginger and the chopped tinda.Cover and cook on low flame stirring at intervals till semi soft.

  3. Then add all the remaining spices and cook till completely soft. Remove from flame and garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve this yummy Tinda sabzi with chapati or parathas.
