Homemade Sweet Potato Kheer Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500 gms sweet potato

  • 1 liter full fat milk

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 1 tbsp ghee

  • 1 tsp cardamom powder

  • some chopped almonds and pistachio for garnishing

Method:

  1. Wash the sweet potatoes and pressure cooker it upto 2-3 whistles.

  2. Remove from cooker and once cooled peel and mash it properly. Keep aside.

  3. In a heavy based vessel heat ghee and cook the sweet potatoes on low flame stirring continuously for about 3-4 minutes.

  4. Then add milk and cook on low flame stirring at intervals till it thickens.

  5. Add the sugar and cardamom and mix well. Cook again for 2-3 minutes.

  6. Remove in a serving bowl and garnish with some chopped almonds and pistachio.

Enjoy this yummy kheer hot or cold.
