Homemade Sweet Potato Chaat Recipe
Ingredients:
1 kg sweet potato (shakarkandi)
2 tbsp ghee
3-4 tbsp sweet chutney
2-3 tbsp green chutney
1 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp roasted jeera ( cumin ) powder
1 tbsp chaat masala
1 tsp black salt
1/2 lemon juice
salt as per taste
2 chopped green chillies
some chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
Method:
Wash the sweet potatoes and pressure cooker it for 1-2 whistles so that it is semi cooked say upto 40 percent.
Once the sweet potatoes are cooled wrap it in aluminum foil and put it in the oven at 200 C for about 20 minutes. Remove and peel off the skin and chop them into one inch cubes.
Take a non stick pan heat the ghee and fry the sweet potatoes on low flame stirring at intervals till it is slightly brown in colour. Remove in a bowl and allow it to cool.
Add the the above ingredients to the sweet potatoes and mix well.
