Homemade Sweet Potato Chaat Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg sweet potato (shakarkandi)

  • 2 tbsp ghee

  • 3-4 tbsp sweet chutney

  • 2-3 tbsp green chutney

  • 1 tsp pepper powder

  • 1 tsp roasted jeera ( cumin ) powder

  • 1 tbsp chaat masala

  • 1 tsp black salt

  • 1/2 lemon juice

  • salt as per taste

  • 2 chopped green chillies

  • some chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

Method:

  1. Wash the sweet potatoes and pressure cooker it for 1-2 whistles so that it is semi cooked say upto 40 percent.

  2. Once the sweet potatoes are cooled wrap it in aluminum foil and put it in the oven at 200 C for about 20 minutes. Remove and peel off the skin and chop them into one inch cubes.

  3. Take a non stick pan heat the ghee and fry the sweet potatoes on low flame stirring at intervals till it is slightly brown in colour. Remove in a bowl and allow it to cool.

  4. Add the the above ingredients to the sweet potatoes and mix well.
