Homemade Sprouted Moong Dosa Recipe

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups whole moong ( = 6 cups sprouted moong)

  • 2 cups palak ( 1 big bunch )

  • 1/2 cup rice flour

  • 8-10 green chillies

  • 2 tbsp ginger

  • 2 tbsp coriander powder

  • 1 tbsp jeera powder ( cumin powder)

  • salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Clean, wash and soak the moong in water for 6-7 hours or overnight.

  2. Drain out all the water and tie in a muslin cloth and keep in a warm place till the moong is sprouted.

  3. Pluck the leaves from the stem of the palak. Wash and keep aside.

  4. In a grinder jar add all the above ingredients along with the palak leaves leaving the rice flour and grind into a fine paste.

  5. Remove in a vessel and add the rice flour little by little and keep mixing to avoid any lumps.

  6. Add water as required to get a dosa batter consistency. Allow it to rest for 15-20 minutes.

  7. Heat a non stick tawa and pour a ladle of the batter on the tawa and spread evenly. Pour some oil around the doas and cook on medium flame till golden brown in colour.Flip and cook on the other side also.

  8. Repeat the process till all the dosas are made.

Enjoy this tasty and healthy dosa with green chutney.
