Homemade Soya Chunks Manchurian Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups soya chunks

  • 1 onion chopped finely

  • 1/2 each of green, yellow and red capsicum chopped finely

  • 2 tbsp spring onions chopped finely

  • 1 tbsp ginger chopped finely

  • 2 tbsp garlic chopped finely

  • 2 green chillies chopped finely

  • 2 tbsp cornflour made into paste by adding some water

  • 2 tbsp Chings or homemade schezwan sauce

  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup

  • 1/2 tbsp vinegar

  • 2 tbsp dark soya sauce

  • 1 tsp white pepper

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Heat some water in a pan and boil the soya chunks till soft and fluffy. Drain all the water and when cooled squeeze the extra water from it.

  2. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan, on high flame saute the ginger and garlic then add the green chillies and onion. Cook for 1-2 minutes then add the capsicums and saute for few seconds..

  3. Add both the sauces, soya, vinegar, pepper, salt and cornflour paste, saute for a minute.

  4. Add the soya chunks and cook for a minute or two till it is well coated with all the sauces.

  5. Remove from flame and garnish with some chopped spring onions.

    Serve with Veg Hakka Noodles and Veg Fried Rice .
