Homemade Soya Aloo Sabzi Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 big boiled potato/aloo

  • 1/3 cup soya chunks

  • 1 small chopped onion finely

  • 1 chopped green chill

  • 1 tsp chopped ginger

  • 1/4 tsp asefodita

  • 1/2 tsp jeera/cumin seeds

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp chilli powder

  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder

  • 1/4 tsp garam masala

  • 1/4 tsp jeera /cumin powder

  • 1 tsp kasuri methi/ dried fenugreek leaves

  • salt as per taste

  • some chopped coriander leaves

Method:

  1. Boil, peel and cut the aloo into big cubes.

  2. Boil some water in a vessel with a little salt then switch off the gas and then add the soya chunks . Cover and keep for 5 minutes then drain out all the water and squeeze out all the extra water from all the soya chunks and cut them into half.

  3. In a pan heat 2 tbsp oil then add the jeera when it splutters add the asefodita. Saute the ginger then add the chopped onion , green chilli and cook till translucent. Add the turmeric and stir then add the soya, aloo, salt, kasuri methi and all the spices. Stir then cover and cook for another 5 minutes.

  4. Remove in a serving dish and sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves.

Enjoy this yummy sabzi with chapati.
