Homemade Shrikhand Recipe
Ingredients:
1 kg curds (yogurt)
1 and 1/2 cup sugar
4-5 saffron strands soaked in 1 tsp warm water
1 tsp cardamom powder
For Garnishing:
chironji ( charoli)
almonds & pista finely sliced
Method:
Hang the curds in a muslin cloth overnight or for 3-4 hours till all the water comes out.
In a bowl add the curds, sugar, saffron water and cardamom together. With the help of a whisk or spoon keep mixing the curds in one direction only till all the sugar melts and a smooth paste is formed . It will take around 10-15 minutes.
Remove in a serving dish.
Garnish with nuts and chironji.
Keep it in the fridge for a few hours.
