Homemade Sev Tamatar Ki Sabzi Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 150 gms ratlami sev

  • 3 onions chopped finely

  • 6 medium tomatoes chopped finely

  • 1/2 tbsp chopped garlic

  • 1 green chilli chopped finely

  • 1 tsp jeera ( cumin seeds )

  • 1 tsp turmeric

  • 1 /2 tbsp chilli powder

  • 1 tbsp coriander powder

  • 1/2 tsp garam masala

  • salt to taste

  • some chopped coriander leaves

Method:

  1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a kadai. Add the jeera when it splutters saute the garlic then add the chopped onions with a little salt and cook till it is soft and translucent.

  2. Add the chopped tomatoes and green chilli and cook on medium to low flame till the tomatoes are soft and mushy.

  3. Add all the dry spices, salt and one and half cups water . Cover and cook on low flame till the tomatoes are completely cooked and drops of oil are seen on the sides. The gravy should be of semi consistency.

  4. Remove from flame and pour in a serving dish.

  5. Add the sev just before serving the sabzi and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

    Enjoy this spicy and yummy sabzi with puris, chapati or parathas.
