Homemade Roasted Poha Chivda Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 400 gms thin poha

  • 1 cup peanuts

  • 1 cup split roasted bengal gram (roasted chana dal)

  • 1/2 cup cashewnuts

  • 1/4 cup raisins

  • 1/4 cup almonds chopped into half

  • 9-10 curry leaves

  • 1/2 tbsp chaat masala

  • 1/ 2 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder

  • salt as per taste

  • oil for frying


Method:

  1. Sieve the thin poha to remove all the powder from it. Take a heavy pan and dry roast the poha on low flame stirring continuously in small batches till it is crispy.

  2. Dry roast the chana dal on low flame also for few seconds.

  3. Heat oil and deep fry the cashewnuts, almonds, raisins, peanuts and curry leaves in the same order one by one. Remove and keep them on a tissue paper.

  4. In a bowl mix all the above ingredients together with salt, red chilli powder and chaat masala.

  5. Store in an airtight container for about 2-3 weeks.

Enjoy this healthy chivda with your tea/ coffee.
