Homemade Rajgira Halwa Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rajgira atta ( amaranth flour)

  • 1 + 1/2 cup milk

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 1/4 cup ghee

  • 1 tsp cardamom powder

  • 2-3 tbsp chopped almond and pistachio

Method:

  1. Add the sugar in the milk and cook till the sugar dissolves. Keep it aside.

  2. In a pan heat the ghee then add the rajgira atta and on low flame roast the atta till golden brown in colour stirring continuously so that it does not burn.

  3. Slowly add the milk and sugar mixture and stir continuously so that there are no lump formed.

  4. Add the cardamom and keep cooking on low flame till the milk dries and ghee oozes out from the sides.

  5. Remove in a serving plate and garnish with chopped nuts.

Enjoy this yummy halwa or sheera on your vrat or fasting days !!!!
