Homemade Puri for Pani Puri Recipe

Ingredients :

  • 1/2 cup maida ( white flour)

  • 1/2 cup sooji /rawa (semolina)

  • 1/4 tsp baking soda ( soda bi carb )

  • 1 tsp oil

  • 7-8 tbsp water

  • oil for frying

  • pani puri water

Method:

  1. In a bowl add the maida, sooji, baking soda , oil and mix well.

  2. Add water little by little to make a soft dough.

  3. Cover and allow it to rest for 30 minutes.

  4. Make small equal size balls of the dough.

  5. Roll all the balls into small puris. Cover and keep.

  6. Heat oil in a kadai. When the oil is hot put the gas on medium and put one by one the puri in the oil for frying. Rotate the puris with the back of the spoon and fry till golden brown on both sides on medium to low flame.

  7. Remove on a tissue towel.

  8. Repeat the process till all the puris are fried.

  9. Store in an airtight container.

    Enjoy this puffed crispy puris for making pani puri or dahi puri.

Note: Please do not add any salt in the puri dough and water measurement has to be as mentioned above only.
