Homemade Palak Paneer Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 bunch palak ( spinach)

  • 2 onions

  • 1 piece ginger

  • 2-3 tomatoes chopped finely

  • 2 cups paneer cubes ( frozen or fresh )

  • 1 tsp chilli powder

  • 2 tsp coriander powder

  • 1/2 tsp garam masala

  • 1/2 tsp jeera powder (cumin)

  • salt to taste

  • 3 tbsp ghee


Method:

  1. Clean, wash and blanch the palak ( refer to my TIP No 3 ). Let it cool and then grind it to a fine paste.

  2. Peel the onions and ginger and in a grinder jar grind together to make a fine paste.

  3. Heat a pan with the ghee saute the onion ginger paste till it turns slightly brown in colour then add the chopped tomatoes .Cook till ghee leaves the sides of the pan.

  4. Add all the dry spices and cook for 2-3 minutes. Then add the palak paste and paneer with 1-2 cups water . Cover and cook for 5 minutes more .

  5. Remove in a serving bowl.

    Serve this tasty palak paneer with rice, roti, kulch or naans.
