Homemade Moringa Paratha Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups moringa (drumstick )leaves

  • 4 cups multigrain flour or wheat flour

  • 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tbsp chilli powder

  • 1 tsp ajwain ( carom seeds )

  • salt as per taste

  • oil for cooking

Method:

  1. Remove all the moringa leaves from the stem. Wash and allow it to dry. Then finely chop the leaves .

  2. In a bowl add the flour, spices and chopped leaves. Mix well then make a medium soft dough by adding water little at a time. Prepare a smooth ball and allow it to rest for about 15 minutes.

  3. Make equal size balls of the entire dough. Dust some flour on a rolling board and take a ball and roll it into a medium size round disc.

  4. Heat a tawa on the gas and place the rolled paratha on it. Cook for a minute then flip and put some oil on and around the paratha and cook till u see small bubbles on it. Flip again and put some oil on it and around it. Cook again and then flip. When brown spots are seen on both sides remove onto a plate.

  5. Repeat the process till all the dough balls are used up.

  6. Serve this healthy and yummy parathas with some curds and moringa flower sabzi.
