Homemade Mooli Ki Bhurji Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 big mooli ( white radish ) with stem and leaves

  • 1 chopped tomato

  • 1 chopped green chilli

  • 1 tsp chopped ginger

  • 1/4 tsp asefodita

  • 1 tsp ajwain ( carom seeds )

  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder

  • salt as per taste

  • some chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

Method:

  1. Peel, wash and thickly grate the mooli .

  2. Wash also the stem and leaves of the mooli and chop it finely.

  3. Allow the mooli to rest for 5 minutes then squeeze out all the water from it.

  4. In a pan heat 1 tbsp oil add the ajwain, asefodita, and ginger saute for a second then add the chopped tomatoes, green chilli and turmeric.

  5. Cook the tomatoes on medium to low flame stirring at intervals till it is soft and mushy.

  6. Add the grated mooli, stem ,leaves chilli powder and salt. Cover and cook on low flame till the stem and mooli are soft.

  7. Remove in a serving dish and garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.

    Enjoy this tasty sabzi with chapati or parathas.
