Homemade Methi Thepla Recipe

Ingredients :

  • 4 cups multigrain or wheat flour

  • 1/4 tsp asefodita

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder

  • 1 tbsp white til (sesame ) seeds

  • 1 tbsp kasuri methi

  • salt as per taste

  • 2 -3 bunch fresh methi leaves ( about 1 cup)

  • 1/2 cup curds ( yogurt )

  • 4 tbsp oil

  • Paste of ( 2 onions, 2 green chillies, 1 inch piece ginger and 5-6 pods of garlic)

Method:

  1. Mix all the above ingredients together to make a semi soft dough.Add water only if required.

  2. Let the dough rest for half an hour.

  3. Make small balls of equal size.

  4. Dust some flour on a rolling board and roll into thin circular disc.

  5. Heat a tawa and cook till brown on both sides by applying oil .

    Serve this delicious theplas with yogurt and pickle.

Note: Methi Theplas can be stored for 2-3 days.
