Homemade Methi Puri/ Poori Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups multigrain or wheat flour

  • 2 bunches methi leaves = about 2 cups chopped methi leaves

  • 1/2 tbsp chopped ginger

  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic

  • 1 tbsp kasuri methi

  • 1/4 tsp asefodita

  • 1 tsp ajwain (carrom ) seeds

  • 1/2 tbsp chilli powder

  • 1/2 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder

  • 3-4 tbsp oil

  • salt as per taste

  • oil for frying

Method:

  1. Cean and wash the methi leaves.When the leaves are dry chop them finely.

  2. In a bowl take all the above ingredients and the chopped methi leaves.

  3. Make a stiff dough by adding water as required.Keep it to rest for 10-15 minutes.

  4. Make equal size small balls of the dough.

  5. Roll the balls into round shape puris.

  6. Heat some oil in a kadai and deep fry all the rolled puris on medium to high flame.

    Serve these crispy and yummy methi puris with yogurt and pickle.
