Homemade Mango Pickle Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500 gms raw mangoes

  • 1/4 tsp asefodita

  • 1 tbsp methi seeds ( fengureek )

  • 2 tbsp sauf ( fennel seeds ) slightly grinded

  • 1/2 tbsp kalonji ( onion seeds )

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tbsp chilli powder

  • coarse salt as per taste

  • 1/2 cup mustard oil

Method:

  1. Wash and dry the mangoes completely.

  2. Cut into big pieces.

  3. In a bowl add all the above spices with half the quantity of oil and mix well. Then add the chopped mangoes and mix again.

  4. Allow it to rest for two days. Mix the pickle with a dry spoon once a day.

  5. Take a clean and dry bottle and store the pickle in it.

  6. Allow it to rest for 4-5 days till the mangoes become soft and ready to eat.
