Homemade Lemon Pickle Recipe

Ingredients :

  • 13 medium size and thin skinned lemons

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 2 tbsp homemade garam masala

  • salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Wash and completely dry all the lemons.

  2. Remove the juice of 4 lemons. Keep aside.

  3. Make a deep cross on all the remaining lemons without cutting it right trough.

  4. Mix the garam masala , sugar and salt together and fill all the lemons slowly with the masala.

  5. Place them in a glass bowl or bottle and pour all the lemon juice over it.

  6. Cover with a muslin cloth and keep in the sun for 4-5 days.

  7. When the lemons turn soft it is ready to eat.

  8. Store in a glass bottle at room temperature.
