Homemade Kala Chana Salad Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups kala chana

  • 2 chopped onions finely

  • 2 tomatoes chopped into small cubes

  • 1 green chill chopped finely

  • 1 tsp chilli powder

  • 1 tsp roasted jeera (cumin) powder

  • 1 tsp chaat masala

  • 1/2 lemon juice

  • some chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

  • salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Clean ,wash and soak the kala chana overnight or for 7-8 hours.

  2. Drain the water and pressure cooker the chana with 2 tsp salt upto 5 to 6 whistles.

  3. Open the cooker and remove all the extra water from the chana. Do not throw away the water but use it for curries or soups.

  4. Add all the above ingredients to the boiled kala chana just before eating and mix well. Add salt only if required.

Serve this healthy and tasty kala chana salad with your meals or for evening snack.
