Homemade Instant Tomato Dosa Recipe

Course : Main/ Breakfast

Cuisine: Indian

Servings: 8 -10 nos

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time : 30 minutes

Total Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rice flour

  • 1/2 cup rawa/sooji/semolina

  • 2 cups water

  • 2 tomatoes

  • 1 tsp jeera/cumin seeds

  • 1/2 tbsp chilli powder

  • salt as per taste

  • oil for cooking

  • some grated cheddar or mozzarella cheese for garnishing

Method:

  1. Wash and then chop the tomatoes into big cubes.

  2. In a grinder jar add the chopped tomatoes and puree it then add the rice flour, rawa, jeera, chilli powder and 2 cups water. Grind it into a fine paste .

  3. Remove the batter in a bowl. The batter should be of a flowing dosa consistency.

  4. Heat a dosa tawa. When it is medium hot pour a ladle full of the batter and spread it slowly in a circular motion. Sprinkle some oil all over it and cook on medium flame till brown and crispy. Spread some grated cheese on it.

  5. Fold and remove on a plate.

  6. Repeat the process till all the batter is used up.

Enjoy with chutney or ketchup .
