Homemade Instant Jowar Dhokla Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cups jowar (sorghum) flour
4 tbsp rawa/ suji / semolina
8 tbsp curds ( yogurt)
1 tbsp oil
salt as per taste
1 tsp ENO
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp white til ( sesame seeds)
1/4 tsp hing (asefodita)
some chopped curry leaves
some chopped coriander leaves
1 tsp coarsely ground pepper
1 tsp chilli powder
Method:
In a bowl add the jowar flour, rawa, salt, oil and curds.Mix well then add water little by little till a dropping consistency batter is formed. Allow it to rest for 15 minutes.
In a steamer or vessel boil some water.
Grease a dhokla plate or a cake tin.
After the rest time add the ENO to the batter and lightly stir. Immediately pour in the greased dhokla plate and sprinkle some pepper and chilli powder all over it.
Place in the steamer/ vessel and let it steam for 15 minutes . To check if the dhokla are cooked , pierce a knife if it comes out clean the dhokla are ready.
Allow it to cool then cut into square or triangle shape pieces.
Heat a pan with 1 tbsp oil add the mustard seeds when it splutters then add the hing, curry leaves and til. Pour it all over the cut dhokla pieces.
Remove in a serving dish and garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.
Enjoy these healthy dhokla with green chutney.
