Homemade Healthy Sprout Moong Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole moong

  • 1 tsp mustard seeds

  • 1 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Wash and soak the whole moong in water for 4-5 hours.

  2. Remove all the water after 4-5 hours. Cover and keep it in a warm place for 12 hours or overnight till it sprouts.

  3. In a pressure cooker heat 1 /2 tbsp oil add the mustard seeds when it splutters add the turmeric powder. Then add the sprouted moong, mix well.

  4. Add the chilli powder, salt and 2 cups of water.

  5. Close the cooker and cook upto 3 whistles.

  6. Open the cooke once the pressure is released and mix well.

  7. Remove in a serving dish . Sprinkle some chopped green chillies, lemon juice and chaat masala.

Enjoy this healthy less oil moong sprout for breakfast or evening snack
