Homemade Hara Bhara Kebabs Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 bunch palak (spinach)

  • 1 small onion

  • 2 green chillies

  • 1 tsp chopped ginger

  • 1 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • 1 tsp chaat masala

  • 1 tsp coriander & cumin powder

  • 2 tbsp amchur (mango) powder

  • 1-2 tbsp roasted besan (gram flour)

  • 2 potatoes boiled and mashed

  • bread crumbs for binding

  • cashew nuts for decoration 

Method:

  1. Clean ,wash and then blanch the palak with one tbsp water and a little salt. Remove the excess water from it. Allow it to cool and then grind it to a fine paste.

  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan sauté the ginger, green chilies and onion till translucent. Then add palak puree add red chilli powder, garam masala, chaat masala, coriander cumin powder, amchur and salt .

  3. Remove from flame and allow it to cool then add the mashed potatoes and the roasted besan little by little till the mixture is dry and can be made into balls.

  4. Make round shape balls of the mixture. Take one ball and press the ball in the center and put a cashew nut on each of them as shown in the below picture.

  5. Roll each kebab in  the bread crumbs. Shallow fry or deep fry on medium to low flame till golden brown on both sides.

  6. Repeat the process till all the kebabs are ready.

    Serve this yummy kebab with green chutney and onion rings.
