Homemade Fettuccine Pasta In White Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet Ribbon pasta/ Fettuccine pasta

  • 7-8 mushrooms sliced into long

  • 1 green capsicum/pepper chopped into long

  • 1 orange capsicum/pepper chopped into long

  • 1 yellow capsicum/pepper chopped into long

  • 1 red capsicum/pepper chopped into long

  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic

  • 1 tsp pepper powder

  • 1 tsp chilli flakes

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • 1 tsp basil leaves

  • 1 tsp thyme leaves

  • some fresh basil leaves ( optional)

Ingredients for White sauce:

  • 4 tbsp butter

  • 4 tbsp white flour ( maida)

  • 1 liter milk

  • 1 tsp black pepper powder

  • 1 tsp chilli flakes

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • 1 tsp thyme ( optional)

  • 1 tsp basil ( optional)

  • 3/4 cup cream

  • salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Boil some water in a vessel with 2-3 drops oil and 1 tsp salt then add the pasta.Cook till soft.

  2. Remove and drain the excess water and let the pasta cool down.

  3. Heat the butter in a pan add the maida and roast it on low flame stirring continuously for 5-10 minutes then add the milk little by little so that no lumps are formed.

  4. Add all the remaining ingredients for the white sauce and cook on low flame stirring continuously till the sauce thickens and is of medium consistency.Keep aside.

  5. In another pan add 4 tbsp olive oil saute the garlic for 1-2 minutes then add the mushrooms and capsicums saute for another 5 minutes till they are soft but at the same time crunchy.

  6. To it add all the herbs,chilli flakes, salt, pepper and the boiled pasta.Mix well.

  7. Pour the white sauuce and give it a good toss.

    Serve this yummy fettuccine pasta with homemade bread.
