Homemade Farali Rajgira Puri Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups rajgira flour (amaranth flour)

  • 750 gms arbi ( colocasia)

  • 4 green chillies chopped finely

  • 1/2 tbsp pepper powder

  • salt as per taste

  • oil for deep frying

Method:

  1. Wash and pressure cooker the arbi upto 3 whistles. Remove from cooker and peel them.

  2. Sieve the rajgira flour. In a mixing bowl add the flour, salt, pepper and mix well. Mash the arbi in the flour and make a stiff dough by adding a little water only if required.

  3. Make small balls of the dough.

  4. In a kadai heat oil for deep frying.

  5. Take one dough ball and roll into a small disc which should be slightly thick.

  6. Repeat the process for all the balls.

  7. Deep fry one by one all the rolled puris on medium to high flame till brown on both sides.

  8. Remove and drain the extra oil if any on a tissue towel.

Serve this yummy puri during fast or vrat with Farali Aloo Ki Sabzi and Farali Fruit Chaat.
